I’ve said it for the last three years, that this year PodCamp Nashville will be better than ever! I’m saying it again this year – year 4.

If you have never been before, you should make this your first year. PodCamp is a day-long party, celebrating all that is online media. Expect to meet plenty of podcasters, bloggers, social media enthusiasts, photographers, videographers, and perhaps your next employer, employee, business partner or customer. Heck, you’ll probably leave with some new friends too!

Expect to find hundreds of people gathered together in a massive bar for a day of scheduled and unscheduled presentations. You’ll learn a lot and you can share your wisdom by creating your own presentation right then and there.

Trust me. You do not want to miss PodCamp Nashville!

What you need to do…

Consider sponsoring this important annual event. PodCamp Nashville is getting lots of notice, why wouldn’t you want to associate your brand with PCN?

Take the time during PCN to thank the volunteers, sponsors and organizers. Nobody get’s paid for the countless hours of work they do to bring PCN to you. The least you can do is to buy them a beer(s).

Like the Facebook page. Show PCN some love, won’t you?

Blog, podcast, take photos and videos. Tag everything PCN11 and “podcamp nashville” and share it with the world! Do this NOW and do it after.

It’s pretty simple. If you haven’t registered for the third PodCamp Nashville yet you need your head examined.

On Saturday, March 6th we’re throwing our third PodCamp and you’re invited. We’re expecting around 500 people!

If you have any interest in social networking sites, podcasting, blogging, micro-blogging, real-time web, online community, or just about anything Web 2.0 and beyond, then you need to be there. It’s as simple as that.

Whether you’re a student, professional or hobbyist PodCamp Nashville is for you. This is the event that is built for our community by our community.

Each year I read tweets and comments by people who kick themselves for not attending. This year if you don’t make it there’s no excuse (and you deserve to be kicked). I guarantee you’ll have a blast or your money back*.

500 Strong!

Just a short note to thank the organizers and volunteers for pulling off the second PodCamp Nashville. I’m writing this now because I am that confident that tomorrow will be awesome!

We’ve reached just shy of 500 people registered to attend our Nashville’s kick ass free unconference. I’m so excited that sleeping tonight probably won’t happen.

I’ll be doing two presentations tomorrow. One is a Social Media 101 session called Why I Love Guinness. The other one is called A Slice of Cake, which I hope will become a great discussion on how podcasters can use promotional partners to build their audiences.

Did I mention how excited I am about tomorrow?

Gosh, I’ve been slacking on my blog lately. Sorry about that loyal reader, I appreciate that you’ve stopped by. Here’s a quick break down on the stuff I’ve been up to:

I presented at the SouthEastern Journalism Conferece at Belmont University. Here’s a quick video interview on my predictions for the future of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Also, a transcript of my session (thanks Dr. Syb).
Working feverishly with the rest of the PodCamp Nashville crew on creating a bigger and better PodCamp Nashville 2009! If you’re planning to be there you should register today while space remains.
Developing my presentation: Twitter: 140 Characters To Better Brands for PodCamp Toronto this weekend. I hope to connect with you in my home town.
Making new friends as my alter ego at the office @griffintech. Are we friends on Twitter there too?

Podcasters, bloggers, social media mavens, and tech savvy people of all walks of life should consider one thing on March 7, 2009 in Nashville: PodCamp Nashville.

I am very happy to announce that podcamp is returning to Nashville. Last year PCN was a huge success, we had about 300 people in attendance to share sessions on everything from podcasting 101 to telling better stories online, from building fast sites on the cheap for podcasts to podcasting for business and marketing.

The official PodCamp.org site reads:

PodCamp isn’t just about podcasting! If you’re interested in blogging, social media, social networking, podcasting, video on the net, if you’re a podsafe musician (or want to be), or just someone curious about new media, then please join us — and bring a friend or colleague.
