I’m a recognized leader and speaker on digital marketing, social media strategy, and community enthusiasm.
In the mid 1980′s, I discovered bulletin board systems using my Commodore 64 and modem. I’ve been communicating online steadily ever since. I hosted one of the first parenting podcasts from 2005 – 2008, and I have been blogging for eight years.
Since moving to Nashville in 2007, I have co-founded two annual unconferences, PodCamp and BarCamp Nashville. I’ve also launched two monthly events, Nashcocktail and Geek Breakfast, the latter now has chapters across the US, South Africa and Australia.
In May 2012, I was featured by the Nashville Business Journal as a Power Leader of Technology in Nashville.
In 2011, I was awarded the prestigious Digital Media Champion AIM Award by the American Marketing Association in Nashville. In 2009, I was nominated for Nashville’s blogger of the year by the Nashville Technology Council. I have appeared in technology stories in USA Today, The Tennessean, Nashville Business Journal, Globe and Mail, Jackson Sun, and Mashable. I was also selected by Billboard Magazine as one of 140 music-industry characters you need to follow on Twitter.
I recently departed Griffin Technology after managing their digital marketing efforts for three years. I’m now available for consultation for your company’s digital marketing plan.
