Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategy

Dave Delaney

Dave DelaneyYesterday I bid my friends and colleagues at Griffin Technology farewell. It was a tough decision to make but one that needed doing.

Back in September 2008, I was invited to join Griffin’s marketing department to run their social media, email marketing, and promotional efforts. At the time Griffin had zero official presence online. My job was to fix that.

Over the three years, I fostered Griffin’s community online (and IRL). The Griffin Blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts stand testament to that with tens of thousands of engaged fans, friends, followers, and commenters. I’ll miss them tons too.

I’ve been communicating online since the 80’s, before this whole Internet thing. I have worked in marketing and promotions for the last decade.

When I take the above and add that I’ve been blogging since 2004, podcasting since 2005, and tweeting since Feb 2007, it just makes sense that I share my knowledge with you. It’s time for me to help you.

I have already lined up some wonderful clients. My plan is to review their marketing efforts and provide a measurable strategy that they can use to strengthen their brand and increase conversions.

I’m here to help you. I’m excited to use my creativity and marketing know-how to take your brand to the next level. Interested in learning more?

Contact me and let’s chat.

Thank you for all of the tweets, emails and comments. Your friendship and support mean a lot.

  • That takes guts.  Congrats, Dave.  In the words of Seth Godin, instead of waiting to be picked, you ‘picked yourself.’

At this time SXSW is pending. I need to secure a few more clients before I can commit to the event. I’d LOVE to be in Austin to see you. I hope it works out.

Keep in touch. Let me know if you’re ever in Nashville too.

  • “My job was to fix that.”  And you did.  Griffin’s a better place for you having been here, Dave.  And if any of you readers here ever need a great room-mate at a major trade show, Dave is the best.  He has this little waking up song that he’ll sing to you every morning.  Gets the day off to a great start. :)  Thanks Dave for everything you’ve done for us.

  • LOL! Web. You just made my day.
    Thanks buddy!
Keep in touch. Seriously… we’re doing lunch soon.

  • Thanks Scott. Let me know next time you’re in Nashville too. I’d love to catch up over lunch or coffee. It feels like forever since we last got together, eh?

Maybe I’m due for a drive to Knoxville.

  • Congratulations Dave! As someone that also ventured out on my own in the past few months, it’s all the things people say… thrilling, exciting, a bit scary, but feels so great!

  • Thank you very much. I’m excited about helping people with their digital marketing. Cheers.

  • Thanks Jim. I always love to see what you have going. I love your podcast too! Everybody should be listening:
