Geek Breakfast VS Nashcocktail

It’s Day versus Night! AM versus PM! Coffee sippers versus Booze swillers!

It’s the first annual Geek Breakfast VS Nashcocktail Holiday Food Battle for Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee!

Geek Breakfast VS Nashcocktail Food Drive for Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee

On December 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, during Nashcocktail, we’ll be collecting food donations. The entire world will witness the massive collection of items that attendees shall bring to the event. You won’t believe your eyes!

On December 15 from 7:30 am – 9:30 am. Geek Breakfast participants will be celebrating 5 years of Geek Breakfast. To add to the celebration they will prove to be the most generous people by bringing the most food donations.

On Friday, December 16, the total food from each stellar event will be weighed by Second Harvest. Who shall bring the most food? Who will win the first annual Geek Breakfast VS Nashcocktail Holiday Food Battle? Only time will tell.

But Seriously…

All joking aside, in Middle Tennessee, there are more than 417,000 people struggling with hunger. 1 out of every 4 children is hungry. We need to do our part to help put a stop to this. We need to help our community.

Please bring peanut butter, canned meat, canned fruit, rice, mac and cheese and cereal. Dented and expired cans can’t be accepted. Please avoid glass containers too.

Bring bags full of the stuff. Let’s show each other how much we care by bringing tons of it. If you need help carrying it in feel free to call me at 615 823 1608. Of course, even the smallest donation will help too.

Don’t forget to RSVP NOW to either Nashcocktail or Geek Breakfast. Of course, you’re always encouraged to attend both if you prefer. Let’s make Nashville proud!

Thanks to Kenneth White for designing this graphic!

UPDATE: December 16.

250 lbs of food for Second Harvest!

Nashcocktail won by collecting 163 lbs of food! Geek Breakfast raised 87 lbs. Not bad at all folks.

Together we raised 250 lbs of food for our community. We should all be very proud!

Thanks to everyone who participated. If you still want to donate you can do so here.

Happy Holidays!

Dave

  • If I can’t make it to either event (which is a real possibility with my schedule), do you think I could deliver non-perishables to you personally?

  • Of course. That could work too. Thanks Brad.
