The Billboard Effect

According to Billboard Magazine, I’m one of 140 music-industry characters you need to follow on Twitter.

I was surprised when I started seeing the tweets about this, I thought I had misread it. Billboard has me described as a Nashville-based digital media strategist. Techie, foodie, culture-y. I’ll take it.

I must admit, I haven’t been nearly as active lately on Twitter. My daily follower growth is maybe a handful of people at most. That was until the Billboard post.

Suddenly I’m now receiving about 30 new followers a day! This is great news, it’s always nice to have new tweeps. Thanks if you’re one of them.

I’m not sure how I was added to the Billboard list, but I am really happy that I was. Especially, because I was included with a group of peers like: Fiona Bloom, Mark Montgomery, Marcus Whitney (who also recently made the cover of Billboard Magazine), Dave Beronja and Pinky Gonzales.

As always, I sincerely thank you for following me on Twitter. It’s still a very important place to me. I promise to tweet more regularly. You’ll find me @davedelaney.
