How to cure the post BarCamp Blues

Photo from Flickr by: Wonderdawg777First off, I’d sincerely like to thank everyone involved with the fourth BarCamp Nashville on Saturday. Without the volunteers and organizers, attendees and sponsors, it never would have happened. It was an incredible success!

The post BarCamp Blues

In 2007, after the first BarCamp, I felt a strange void after it was over. Everybody returned to their offices, homes and dorms. The event went off really well, but it was strange that suddenly it was business as usual again. I missed seeing everyone together.

The first PodCamp was in the early planning stages shortly after, but I wanted to do something to keep local technology-savvy people together. So that we could reflect upon BarCamp and get excited for PodCamp together. Plus, it was a perfect opportunity to talk tech with like-minded folks.

This is when Geek Breakfast was born.

On the fourth Thursday of each month, a group of us gather at Noshville for breakfast and coffee, to meet new people and to see friends we don’t see often enough.

If you’re interested, Geek Breakfast is coming up very soon. Join the Facebook group, and choose the 7:30 – 8:30 time or the 8:30 – 9:30 time if you’d like to join us. Please RSVP to let me know that you’re coming.

If mornings aren’t your style, or if you can’t wait that long to see everyone. I’m organizing Nashcocktail tomorrow night. Nashcocktail is a cocktail hour held monthly. This time I’ve got an Apple TV to giveaway to one lucky person in attendance, so there’s that. ;)

Let’s keep connected! I hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for making BCN10 the best one yet!
