It sucks, I've been there before... But isn't it awesome when something like that happens?! Someone comes out of nowhere to help you? (It happened to me before... I yelled "damn it!" and looked panicked because I couldn't find change. Another gentleman paid for my meter. I left a $5 starbucks card with a "Thank You" note on his windshield).

Great post, so nice to hear people talking about doing good and helping each other in real doable ways, instead of complaining about other people not doing enough.

Great to hear positive real stuff. Thanks!

several years ago I was in the drive thru at chick-fil-a and there was a woman behind me in line with a minivan full of screaming, fighting hell spawn, errr, I mean kids.

When I got to the window, I paid for her order too, just because I felt so sorry for her. Never thought about it again until last year I was at a different chick-fil-a drive thru with a girlfriend and when we got to the the window, the man ahead of us had paid for BOTH of our orders. We weren't even having a bad day. It made my month! Couldn't believe it, as I learned that acting out of pity (like I did)is great, but acting out of kindness without regard to circumstance (like he did) was an even greater gift. Very thought provoking!
