Let’s feed Nashville
Christmas is right around the corner, this is the time of the year that food banks tend to work over time. Second Harvest in Nashville is running a food drive through December (hint, it’s always running food drives).
I’m excited to be participating in the Second Harvest Middle Tennessee Feeding Hope Challenge.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee encourages the community to take the Feeding Hope Challenge now through December 30 to help collect food and funds that supply 300,000 pounds of food in 30 days! Together, we can feed hope and fight hunger. Take the Feeding Hope Challenge and help feed hungry families in Middle Tennessee.
You can go ahead and visit the link above to donate a few dollars right now. Every dollar donated purchases 5 pounds of food and provides 4 meals.
I’ll also be collecting non-parishable food items at the Geek Breakfast next Thursday. I hope you’ll consider bringing along an item(s) if you’re planning to be there. They are seeking: peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned soup or stew, canned vegetables, canned fruit, and macaroni & cheese.
