I've not tried anything to crazy when it comes to extensive HTML in the description. I'm of the school that if the item listing looks fairly basic, then it's most likely just an individual user trying to sell a thing. When it looks like a corporate Web site, I stay away, because I know I'm probably not getting a deal. I do from time to time.
