My Twitter and Flickr tutorials are no more

By | December 17, 2007

Hey gang. I hope you’ve been able to enjoy my free tutorials on Twitter and Flickr. I was planning on creating more (for free of course), but I’ve reached my bandwidth maximum on Screencast.com.

To my knowledge, Jing use to host the files for free, but not anymore.

If you would like to donate towards my free tutorials please buy some bandwidth. I simply don’t have the budget to cover the cost. Or, if you can suggest another place I can upload (for free) my Jing (or other screen capturing service) tutorial videos please let me know.

Cheers,
Dave

Here’s how I can help you?

Have you tried converting to a different format and uploading them to YouTube? You’d get a lot more traffic / views there too.

Do you know a good converter for .swf Flash files to a video format?

I’d host (and I do) on blip.tv. It’s podcast friendly! They’ll give you a flash player and link to the original file so you can put it on your site and podcast feed! I don’t know if they will accept a flash file though. If your on a Mac use Visual Hub, it’s not free but it’s amazing!

I agree with Bill. Blip.tv is pretty good for hosting videos. And for converting, there’s a free version of Visual Hub called iSquint. Maybe it’ll work for you!

Thanks Bill and Nico. I’ll give iSquint a whirl and see if that works.

Thanks again guys. No luck with iSquint, I kept getting an error. Looks like I need that bandwidth to do this after all. Doh!
